Trent Torain

We are a family based community educational theater program dedicated to providing a safe loving environment for students of all ages, to grow their passion, love and skill for the performing arts.

My name is Trenton Torain, I often go by “Coach Trent” or “Trent” in the classroom. I have 10 years of my own experience in musically directing, directing, and producing community educational theater, and a family who has a collective of 20+ years dedicating their hearts to the community and putting on all inclusive large scale productions. My family and I have put on large scale musicals like, “Peter Pan”, “13 the Musical”, and our most recent “Mary Poppins”, fromally as “Grand Performing Arts”

The thing that makes our program unique is that we are an all inclusive educational theater community. Meaning although we hold auditions for all participating performers, we hold a position in the ensemble for absolutely each registrant.

That’s right! No matter your experience, talent level, or age you can participate our fall production of James and the Giant Peach (More info on the registration page)

Classes will be set up by Age. Sometimes shows require special ensemble groups ie. (Trained dancers) but all this will be explained and solidified after your first rehearsal.

Whether you are familiar with our work or not Please Register if you’re interested in more information! We will be sending out a “Parent Packet” no later than August 1st to address as many questions and concerns as possible. As well  as a schedule and location information. We are waiting for venues, and rehearsal space to be solidified.

You can also send an email for any specific questions you may have.

But I want to reiterate that anyone within the age groups of 5+(1st Graders) are welcome to join our show! If you are a 5 (Non First Grader) or younger, we are willing to accept you into the program for a probationary period where we evaluate if your child is ready for such a huge class commitment. RTA’s Director of show has the final say on whether or not a non first grader can participate. As sometimes shows of this size can be overwhelming for our youngest of aspiring performers.

I encourage all of you to come sing dance and play in this amazing new show!
